Whiskey Dick Mountain is a summit in central Washington about 15 miles east of Ellensburg. It is the highest point on Windy Ridge and lies within the 28,549-acre Whiskey Dick Unit of the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area. Its southwest flank is occupied by the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility, a Puget Sound Energy project with 149 wind turbines. The surrounding landscape is managed for both recreation and wildlife, with permit access on the power company’s owned or leased land for activities including hiking and hunting.
