Fritz Beerman and his son, Charles, came to Lincoln in 1880 and worked together in the harness and saddle shop at 5th and F Streets. Charles served as Lincoln’s Town Treasurer after the election of 1892. In December 1991, Beerman Plaza was dedicated with city officials, councilmembers, members of the Lincoln Economic Committee, and project development and redesign staff participating.
