Leatherwood Station Covered Bridge is a historic Indiana covered road bridge built in 1899 by Joseph A. Britton and Son, a leading western Indiana bridge firm. Originally spanning Leatherwood Creek near a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad stop, it was also called the Harry Wolf Bridge. A surviving May 18, 1899 letter shows that noted builder J. J. Daniels bid $680, but Britton won the contract, likely with a lower bid. The single-span double Burr Arch Truss bridge combines Britton’s original work with later changes, including a Daniels-style portal, WPA repairs in 1940, and relocation to Billie Creek Village. Listed on the National Register in 1978, it remains part of Indiana’s covered bridge heritage.
