Deerfield Beach Arboretum is a 9-acre public botanical garden in Deerfield Beach, Florida, devoted to trees and palms from around the world. Established on April 28, 1995, by city forester Zeke Landis with 22 trees and palms, it grew into a broad collection that includes palms, tropical fruit trees, flowering trees, bamboos, and other exotic canopy species. Its themed areas include a bamboo section, butterfly garden, children’s garden, orchid display, spice and herb garden, tropical fruit trees, and a wetlands demonstration area. Free and open daily, it also serves as a community resource through trails, tours, volunteer workdays, presentations, and a playground.
