Carrizo Canyon in San Diego County, California, begins at the mouth of Carrizo Gorge at about 1,411 feet above sea level and extends northward. It descends to about 699 feet in elevation at its mouth before opening into the southeastern part of Carrizo Valley less than a mile east of Egg Mountain. Its head is placed at 32°44′39″N, 116°11′50″W, marking the canyon’s connection with Carrizo Gorge and its course downward toward the valley below.
