Camp Creek State Park in Mercer County, West Virginia, was created in 1987 when a 550-acre tract was separated from Camp Creek State Forest. Located about two miles from the Camp Creek exit of Interstate 77, it serves as an accessible mountain recreation area focused on camping and outdoor activities. The park has three campgrounds: Mash Fork for tents or trailers, Blue Jay with rustic sites, and Double “C” for horse-and-rider camping. In addition to camping, visitors use the park for picnicking, fishing, hunting, and horseback riding, giving it a distinctive mix of standard and equestrian recreation.
