Kings Creek Falls
Nature
Kings Creek Falls is a waterfall near Long Creek in the far northwestern corner of South Carolina, within the Oconee District of Sumter National Forest. It stands on Kings Creek, a tributary of the Chatooga River, close to the Georgia state line and near the Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area. Reached by a short spur from the Foothills Trail, it is one of the natural destinations accessible from that long-distance route. Its significance lies in this combination of protected forest setting, proximity to wilderness, and relatively easy access, which gives the falls a notably remote character without requiring an extended approach.
