Teegarden-Centennial Covered Bridge, near Salem, Ohio, spans Little Beaver Creek on Eagleton Road and survives as a pedestrian bridge. Built in 1876, it was named for nearby landowner U. Teegarden and also called the Centennial Bridge because it rose a century after the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. Its 66-foot span uses a multiple king post truss designed by Jeremiah C. Mountz and David Reese. After carrying traffic until 1992, the bridge was restored in 2003 and entered the National Register of Historic Places in August 2010.
