These nine hangers are original nineteen thirties Captain Howard B. Nurse-designed structures, now renovated to house commercial activities. A variety of historic aircraft were housed here, including biplanes, early propeller-powered fighters and bombers, transports, and later supersonic jet fighters and helicopters. The flight control tower stands on the east side, the former runway side, of the middle hanger. U.S.A.F. flight operations ceased here in 1975. Portions of this area are in the Hamilton Historic District.
