Talking Rocks Cavern, originally known as Fairy Cave, is a privately owned show cave in southwestern Missouri near Branson West. Guided tours of about an hour descend 150 steps and return by 115, reflecting the cavern’s steep vertical shape. Visitors see formations including stalactites, stalagmites, curtain deposits, cave bacon, and The Cathedral, a prominent flowstone and drapery feature about 90 feet tall and 50 feet across. The cave remains near 63 degrees year-round and is a living cave where water still supports mineral growth. The surrounding property adds educational programs, recreation, trails, and broad Ozarks views to make the site a family-oriented destination.
