Red Mountain is a 5,732-foot peak in Washington’s Cascade Range, about 14 miles northwest of Roslyn in Kittitas County. Its chief historical importance is tied to the Red Mountain mine on its southern side at about 4,051 feet, where tungsten, molybdenum, and copper were extracted. The mountain’s significance lies in this connection between its rugged landscape and the mineral development of the surrounding region.
