Three Queens
Nature
Three Queens is a prominent triple-summit mountain in Washington’s Cascade Range within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, rising to 6,693 feet on Chikamin Ridge near Snoqualmie Pass. Its distinctive form gives it three separate summits, with the East Peak highest. The Pacific Crest Trail passes along its west slope, making it a notable landmark on this scenic ridgeline. The mountain stands in a landscape shaped by uplift, faulting, and repeated glaciation, marked by rugged ridges, deep valleys, granite walls, and many lakes. It was likely first climbed in 1925 by a Mountaineers party, and its name was officially adopted in 1940.
