Weed Patch Hill, also called Weed Patch Knob, is a summit in Brown County State Park in Indiana. Rising 1,058 feet, it is the state’s third-highest named summit and the highest point on the Knobstone Escarpment. Only Hoosier Hill and Sand Hill stand higher in Indiana. Its distinctive name comes from an early settler’s account that a tornado leveled a stand of trees there, after which weeds covered the cleared ground and gave the hill its lasting name.
