The Lake Shore Ball Park stood in the present-day Point Picnic Area, where the company-sponsored ball club hosted rival teams and sometimes routed them. In one game reported in the May 1909 issue of the Port Washington Star, the Lake Shores defeated the team from C.G. & Co., an area foundry, 13 to 1. Zolendeck, the local pitcher, struck out 15 men, allowed only six hits, and was especially effective with men on base.
