Willow Springs Pony Express Station
Transportation
Willow Springs served as a Pony Express station on the route between St. Joseph, Missouri and Sacramento, California, established on April 3, 1860 and discontinued on October 27, 1861 when the transcontinental telegraph line opened. An overland stage station also operated here from 1859 to 1870.
