The house was erected in the 1870's by Mr. Veitch. It served many people through the years, including Dr. W. W. Stockman, who used it as an office and residence for many years during the 1920's. It was the first real meeting house in Pioche for the L.D.S. Church. After being rented for several years, it was restored in 1983 as a reminder of the historical period it represents.
