Southern Arrowwood (Viburnum dentatum) is abundant in Cape May County woodlands. Native Americans used the long, sinuous stems as a natural toothbrush and the wood for its straight arrow shafts. It attracts Eastern Bluebird, Northern Flicker, Gray Catbird, American Robin, and various mammals, and it is a host plant for the Spring Azure caterpillar.
