Tinicum Island Rear Range Light is an active Delaware River lighthouse in Paulsboro, New Jersey, paired with the Tinicum Front Range Light to guide vessels safely upstream past Little Tinicum Island by keeping them centered in the channel. First lit on New Year's Eve in 1880, the range was modernized from oil to electricity in 1917 and automated by the Coast Guard in 1933. Its original 4.8-acre site included a keeper's house and other support buildings, reflecting its former role as a staffed station, though most were removed in the 1950s. The lighthouse remains in service, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, and connects a 19th-century navigation system to today’s industrial riverfront.
