Hutchinson Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Kidder County, North Dakota, centers on Hutchinson Lake and is managed as part of Long Lake National Wildlife Refuge. It is a limited-interest refuge, a form established in the nineteen thirties and nineteen forties as waterfowl declined and New Deal conservation efforts grew during the Great Depression.
