The Geneseo United Methodist Church bell was erected by the congregation in memory of Charles Warren Schmidt, who was born on 12-27-50 and died on 5-16-70, with donations from friends and relatives. It bears the words “My God and I will go unendingly,” and had been in use at the Presbyterian Church until its merger with the Methodist Church.
