War Eagles Air Museum is an aviation and automotive museum at the Doña Ana County International Jetport in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. It developed from the private collection of John T. MacGuire and his wife Betty, both pilots, who began collecting warbirds after seeing them in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in 1979. As the collection grew, John MacGuire chose to establish a permanent home near their Santa Teresa residence and the airport. The museum’s original 54,000-square-foot facility opened to the public on 13 September 1989, later adding a Tupolev Tu-2 from China and a 10,000-square-foot expansion completed in 1996.
