Circa 1898, the Town Center appeared in a panoramic view with Bellingham Town Hall on the left, a building constructed in 1802 and shown nearly one hundred years later. The Bellingham Baptist Church stood directly behind the pole on the right, and the Civil War Monument was visible directly in front of the church.
