Myrtle Page Fillmore, co-founder with her husband, Charles Fillmore, of Unity School of Christianity in Unity Village, Missouri, was born here as Mary Caroline Page on August 6, 1845. Known as Myrtle, she was the daughter of Marcus and Lucy Page, who founded Pagetown. Unity is a nondenominational, nonsectarian religious organization that teaches the practical application of spiritual principles taught by Jesus Christ.
