The Cerrillos Town Company sold this lot sometime before 1893, and a general store was built on it. By 1898 a small house stood on the river bank behind the store. Around 1902 the property served for a time as a carpentry shop, and by 1910 it had become a general store again under Rafael Granito. The building later passed to Rafael's son Joe and became part of the Granito Block. J.P. McNulty, manager of the Tiffany mine, owned the house behind it until a flood destroyed it in the late 1920s. In 1970 the building briefly housed Eckols and Heiden's Starlight Cabaret. Extensively remodeled, it now serves as an art studio.
