Fortuna Mountain, also called North Fortuna Mountain, is a one-thousand-two-hundred-ninety-three-foot peak in Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego, California. As the northernmost of the five peaks dominating the park’s center, it rises conspicuously above the surrounding mesa terrain and is easily recognized from nearby major routes. Several hiking trails lead to its summit, including approaches near Old Mission Dam and along the ridge from the saddle between North Fortuna and South Fortuna. The top is known for sweeping three-hundred-sixty-degree views of San Diego, Santee, MCAS Miramar, and nearby landmarks, making it one of the park’s most prominent hiking destinations and defining high points.
