Twin Falls Resort State Park in Wyoming County, West Virginia, is a wooded mountain recreation area named for two waterfalls on the Marsh and Black Forks of Cabin Creek, about half a mile apart and reached by hiking trail. Opened in 1968 and completed by 1975, it was developed on land donated largely by Pocahontas Land Corporation and Western Pocahontas Land Corporation, tying it to the region’s coal-country land history. The park combines resort lodging, camping, trails, golf, and sports facilities with natural history programs, while Bowers Ridge Pioneer Farm, a restored 1830s mountain homestead working farm, adds a historic element to its outdoor attractions.
