Constructed in 1882 as a catechism room for St. John's Lutheran Church, this building was used in the school's early days when instruction was given in German. The city purchased the building and moved it here in 1989, and the Taylor Historical Society restored it in 1992 so students of today can experience the education of yesteryear.
