Built in 1828, the Blooming Grove Dunkard Meeting House was established by German colonists who began coming to this valley in 1805 seeking religious freedom, led by Dr. Frederick Haller and including the Heim, Ulmer, Staiger, Waltz, Kiess, Young, Harmon, Gross, Biehl, Scheel, and Burghardt families.
