Peeples Valley Pioneer Cemetery contains graves identified as Johnson in 1865, John Fry in 1877, Anna M. Smith in 1880, Baby Hamilton in 1883, Joseph Hodge in 1885, Thomas Hodge in 1892, Aggie Hodge in 1892, Maggie Hodge in 1892, Lillie Hodge in 1892, Jerry Holbrook in 1892, John Ragsdale in 1892, Mrs. P. M. Henley in 1910, and Lee Hodge in 1918, along with burials marked Wycoff, Henry Coe, and Coleman Unknown, the latter originally described as One Man, Two Mexicans, Four Indians. The site was designated a State Monument in 1956 and dedicated by the Honorable Earnest W. McFarland, Governor of Arizona, on August 2, 1957.
