Douglas County men who gave their lives in World War II were Franklin Mack Andrews, Semore Arnold, Donald Cornbread, Giles Cornbread, Wilber Frank, Harlan Fricke, Walter Leehman, Howard G. Park, Charles N. Roberts, Kenneth G. Storke, and Earl Watson. Carson Valley 20 – 30 Club No. 85 dedicated the memorial on June 14, 1952.
