The Peekskill F.D.N.Y. Memorial honors the men of F.D.N.Y. Engine 54, Ladder 4, and Battalion 9 who lost their lives, including Battalion Chief Edward Geraghty, Captain David Wooley, Lieutenant Daniel O’Callaghan, firefighters Michael Brennan, Paul Gill, Jose Guadalupe, Michael Haub, Joseph Angilini, Jr., Carl Asaro, Alan Feinberg, John Tipping II, Christopher Santora, Leonard Ragaglia, Michael Lynch, and Samuel Oitice, with Ladder 4 remembered as “The Pride of Midtown.” It is dedicated to all whose lives were lost in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, and especially remembers fallen brother Sam Oitice of FDNY Ladder 4 and Peekskill Engine 134. Its words reflect how, in one moment, duty became sacrifice, a flag became strength, and a man became a memory.
