Bird Mountain is a one thousand five hundred-foot peak in the Kittatinny Mountains of Sussex County, New Jersey, within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area near the Appalachian Trail. Overlooking Quick's Pond to the east, it forms part of the long ridge landscape that characterizes this section of northwestern New Jersey. Its place in a protected recreation area links it to one of the region's best-known outdoor corridors, where forested slopes, broad ridge views, and trail access define the area's character.
