Kundert Medical Clinic
Arts & Culture
Completed in 1956 in San Luis Obispo, California, the Kundert Medical Clinic was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, making it notable as one of the few commercial buildings in his body of work. The small clinic was commissioned by ophthalmologists Dr. Karl Kundert and his tenant, Dr. Fogo, both from Wisconsin and already familiar with Wright’s architecture. Construction was supervised by Aaron Green, a protégé of Wright. The building has remained in medical use and is now occupied by cardiologist Kenneth Tway.
