Grover Cleveland, the twenty-second and twenty-fourth President of the United States, is believed to have stayed in this home while traveling to New Jersey after his second term. He often visited Brigantine, retired to Princeton, and the town of Folsom is named after his wife Francis Folsom. Cleveland once told a friend, “I never saw a place I liked so well and I never was so well . . . And I Never was so contented and happy.”
