Boston National Historical Park unites eight National Historic Landmark sites that trace Boston’s pivotal role in the American Revolution, from political debate to armed conflict and naval service. Linked largely by the Freedom Trail, the sites include Faneuil Hall, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Old North Church, Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, Dorchester Heights, and the Charlestown Navy Yard. Together they preserve the setting of the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, the signal before Paul Revere’s ride, the Battle of Bunker Hill, Washington’s fortification that forced the British evacuation, and the long naval history represented by USS Constitution and USS Cassin Young.
