The Harvey P. Sutton House in McCook, Nebraska, is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Prairie School residence built in 1907–1908 and regarded as one of the state’s notable early modern homes. Though named for Harvey P. Sutton, its creation depended largely on Eliza Sutton, who pursued Wright, pressed for an economical six-bedroom design, and shaped the long planning process. The finished house featured a flowing interior and dramatic cantilevered roof, but later suffered fire damage and major alterations as housing and then a medical clinic. After preservation efforts beginning in 1978, restorations recovered many lost Wright features, affirming the house’s importance and Eliza Sutton’s central role.
