Falkville's original Town Hall was built from 1936-1937 by the Works Progress Administration as one of the earliest projects in Morgan County. The two-story brick building's cornerstone lists Mayor E.L. Drinkard, Aldermen L.E. Brown, J.L. Rowe, D.S. Sivley, and J.W. Tomlinson, with V.O. Clark as town clerk and Dan P. Ryan as policeman. Its first floor housed the town jail and firefighting equipment, while the second floor contained the mayor's office and the police station; it is now home to the Falkville Public Library. Built in 1935-1936, the Falkville Water Tower became a local landmark as part of a major waterworks project that brought fresh drinking water to the town. The $45,000 project was supported by a $20,000 grant from the U.S. Public Works Administration, with the remaining cost covered by a 30-year bond secured by the town and repaid through Water Department revenues. A large filtering facility was also part of the project, and the tower was placed out of service in 2004.
