Cedar Creek Mill was one of three township grist mills. William Patterson, who married Jane Corwin and had 10 sons and 2 daughters, was the miller from 1838 until about 1855, when he died at about 70. James Goodman, born in 1830 and died in 1909, then ran the mill until it closed in the 1890s.
