Built in 1873 as a saloon and trail drivers' rest stop, this was the town's first permanent building and was originally made of native stone. After county prohibition in 1897, it housed offices and a bank. It was named after Gen. "Stonewall" Jackson. The building was stuccoed in the 1930's, and a wooden facade was added in 1964.
