Attapulgus Presbyterian Cemetery included a Perpetual Care Foundation lot given by J. H. Gibson in 1850 and Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery in 1854, with a 1966 resolution recorded in Decatur County, Georgia. It honored the memory of the Gibson, Chestnut, Cook, Pound, and other families through their descendants. An initial gift of $1,000 came from W.P. Cook, and a church lot sale brought another $1,000. The trustees were J.J. Lester, the last elder, Mrs. W.P. Cook, Mrs. Toulou Dole, Mrs. R. M. Darsey, Mrs. R. D. Humphrey, and C. E. Duke.
