Scott County honored the men from the county who were killed or died while serving their country during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict in what was presented as a sacrifice to maintain freedom and democracy. Those named from the Korean Conflict were Alfred B. Glass, Harry Marks, and Burnice Powers. Those named from the Vietnam Conflict were Charles F. Allen II, William D. Arnold, Everette R. Bailey, David A. Brown, John William Bruin, Roger T. Burrows, Larry Wayne Gillispie, Danny Thomas Jett, Otis R. Jones, J. Richard Miller III, Clyde H. O'Brien, Charles H. Pemm, Robert L. Ralston, George Curtis Shropshire, Leo Tarlton Thomas Jr., David Morgan Walters, Henry O'Neil Wilhoite, Ernest Howard Wilson, and James M. Penny.
