The Women's Civic League of Harrisville honored local men who lost their lives in the Great World War, and the Lions Club of Harrisville, Michigan, honored Alcona County men who lost their lives in World War II. Alcona County Veterans of Foreign Wars also honored those who served and sacrificed their lives in Korea and Vietnam, and Operation Desert Storm is represented by SSgt. David A. Shaw USMC.
