Nature
Mount Lovenia is a 13,219-foot summit in the Uinta Mountains of northern Utah, on the Duchesne-Summit county line within the High Uintas Wilderness and Ashley National Forest. Ranked Utah’s tenth-highest peak, it is distinguished by steep upper slopes, with dramatic relief on its west and north faces. Its waters drain north to Blacks Fork and south to the headwaters of the Lake Fork River. The mountain’s officially adopted name honors Sarah Lovenia Bullock Beard, wife of Utah artist George Beard and daughter of Mormon pioneer Thomas Bullock, tying the peak to an early Utah family legacy.
