Caney Creek residents built this shack for Alice Geddes Lloyd to educate their children. Lloyd worked to educate leaders for service to the people of this area. With help from friends and through her leadership, the Caney Creek Community Center, Alice Lloyd College, and over 100 schools in Eastern Kentucky were formed.
