Built in 1921 as the J. Lodge Motor Company, this building became one of the region's earliest Buick dealerships. Joseph Lodge and Raymond Case operated the business together until Raymond Case died in 1944. After Joseph Lodge died in 1953, the building and business passed in 1957 to F. Gardner Case, Raymond Case's son, and became the Case Motor Company. In 1989, ownership passed again to Samuel Shugart Case, F. Gardner Case's son, and the building became a furniture factory. In later years, it also served as a furniture showroom, an archery range, and a retail store. In 2012, Catoctin Creek Distilling Company bought the building for use as its distillery.
