Grimes Covered Bridge was a small covered road bridge in Washington Township, Pennsylvania, that crossed Ruff Creek. Built in 1888, it used a wooden King post truss and had a tin-covered gable roof. Measuring 31 feet 9 inches, it was the shortest covered bridge in Greene County. By October 1978 it was recognized as one of the county’s nine historic covered bridges, and in 1979 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. After surviving 104 years, it was destroyed by fire in November 1992, leaving a lost piece of Greene County’s covered-bridge heritage.
