The Bridget Smith House is a two-family iron miner’s dwelling built in an area known as Irishtown. It is typical of worker housing prevalent throughout the North Jersey highlands during the iron boom that lasted until the 1890’s. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places.
