Tezcuco Plantation was built in 1855 by Benjamin F. Tureaud, a kinsman of the Bringier family. It was constructed of homemade red brick and Louisiana cypress. In 1888, Dr. Julian T. Bringier purchased it, and relatives retained it until the 1940s.
