In 2019, a mural committee was formed to honor and beautify West Jefferson. Financial support came from Skyranch, the VFW, and various local residents, businesses, and developers. Raine Clotfelter, a nationally recognized professional artist and illustrator, was contracted to create two murals. One highlights life in the village of West Jefferson's past, present, and future, and the other pays homage to the country. Both murals were completed and dedicated in a ceremony in September 2021.
