Erie Township honors those from the township who served the country in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, Army Air Force, and Army Air Corps across World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan, including service members who were killed in action, prisoners of war, Purple Heart recipients, and others remembered in honor or in memory, alongside recognition of the Morin Point Fire Department and American Legion Post #514 of Ida, Michigan.
